Gordon Newton would like to thank everyone who attended this year’s festival. This was the 29th year that the festival has taken place, and despite a couple of dramas, it went exceedingly well.
For anyone who may have been involved, or concerned about the dancer who collapsed from Cambridge-based Milton Morris – I can confirm that he is stable in Medway Hospital’s intensive care unit, and is looking forward to hopefully being transferred to a hospital slightly nearer to his home very soon.
He suffered a heart-attack mid-dance on Saturday, but was fortunate to be dancing directly in front of a team-mate who happened to be a doctor. The doctor-dancer was able to give vital assistance to his friend, whilst waiting for ambulances to arrive.
The dancer’s wife, wishes to give thanks to all those who assisted, and all those who were concerned about his well-being.
