We are entering our second year practice season and whilst we are attracting more dancers we could really do with some more musicians.   We rely heavily on our mainstay melodeon player with the occasional deputy but as the programme expands year on year it is putting a lot of pressure on him to attend the majority of events. So if there is anyone out there in the Wokingham area  be they seasoned or novice  we would be only too pleased to see you on a Thursday evening

Having picked up  very recently two new dancers, we have the problem of kitting them out with clogs before the end of April. We all know how long it can take to make these things and that they are expensive , in this financial climate we cannot assume everyone can afford them.  We are suggesting the setting up of a National database for unwanted clogs. I certainly want my clogs to go on dancing long after my knees have given out rather than consign them to the loft to slowly rot away. I am sure there are others around the country that feel the same??

If it took off this could be extended to other kit hardware such as rapper swords garlands, bobbins etc the list is endless

How do you all feel about this??

cheers
